- Review of Bold City Heating & Air in Jacksonville FL by S Baer: BUYER BEWARE! SHOULD BE CALLED BAIT AND SWITCH CITY. We paid $9000 for a copyright unit to be installed. Instead, they installed an off-brand condenser which retails for $3000. When we called to complain, Mirza, the owner offered us a $1,000 refund or they could come and un-install the unit. He said they don't even have any copyright units. (There are 96 copyright units in the Orlando warehouse). We chose to have him un-install the condenser they installed. He tried to FORCE US TO SIGN A NONDISCLOSURE AGREEMENT TO MAKE ME DELETE MY BAD REVIEW! I urge you to read all the 1 star reviews! He berates his customers and tries to blame the customer. They told us we had 10 minutes to sign the nondisclosure with 6 conditions that needed to be met in order for them to remove their unit. When we didn't get it back to them, they cancelled the appointment and told us never to call them again. Im sure they didn't even file the permits. If I can stop one person from having this happen to them, my efforts will not be in vain. DO NOT USE BOLD CITY HEATING AND AIR! Please also see my Better Business Bureau warning and review. I fully expect the owner to try to personally attack my review. Feel free to head to Better Business Bureau and read for yourself their bad reviews. They even ripped off an 85 year old customer! Consider yourself warned!
